Designing a WhatsApp lead qualification workflow

Good automation is a controlled workflow: ask only useful questions, preserve context, and hand the conversation to a human at the right point.

Start with the minimum useful profile

A qualification flow should capture information that changes what the agent does next. For a property enquiry, that may include property type, preferred location, budget range and timing.

Keep questions conversational

People do not want to complete a form inside a chat. Ask one useful question at a time, keep the language natural, and allow the lead to answer in their own words where practical.

Separate qualification from selling

The system's job is to organize the early conversation. The agent's job is to handle nuance, objections, property recommendations and the actual sales relationship.

Define the handoff explicitly

Every automated flow should have a clear handoff condition. The agent should receive the captured context, not a vague notification that “a lead is ready.”

Build for exceptions

Real conversations include unclear messages, Arabic or English switching, unusual property requests and questions the workflow cannot answer confidently. A safe fallback is better than a confident wrong answer.

Implementation principle: start narrow, log the important states, keep a human override, and expand only after the workflow is reliable.

Google Analytics also provides a recommended generate_lead event for lead forms. Tracking should measure the real business action rather than page views alone.
